I was given an attache case and after visting the Micro Layout Design Gallery (see links page) I decided to build the A3 Sized Inglenook inside. Originally planned as a OO9 layout when Sidelines brought out their range of Gnine kits Baxham fishing lakes were reborn.

After building up with insulation foam Peco N-gauge track was ballasted with sand.

Clear varnish wavelets were built up in layers and a green tint was applied under the perspex.

The obligatory health and safety signs. Peat was made up from paint pva and tea.

Old and new fish smokers were made out of resin drums and plastic tubing.

Due to the change from a lake a shallower slope was made and perspex was cut to size.

Steps and a jetty were made from lollypop sticks. The edges of the lake was blended in with sand.

Water-lilies were made with various shaped paper punches with centres added from FlowerSoft.

The sole loco is a Sidelines "Tiny", well worn and heavily weathered.

Brown Trout were made from Blu-tac than painted. Weeds were added from moss.

Flowering Rushes were made from pained grass seeds with FlowerSoft glued onto the top.

Common Ossiers were made from spray-painted hairy string and Woodland Scenics grass.
