Tetley Grange was my second Gnine layout and was started on the 7th of July 2008. The idea came to me when my new wife handed me the cake-board of our wedding cake and asked me if I "could do anything with it?" "Yes" I replied, "I can build a layout on it"
I new it was going to be a pizza layout but as it was only 12" diameter the scope was limited. I came up with the idea of a garden railway with a shed as a centre piece. This was mainly because I had already built a 1:24 model of the shed I model in!
The baseboard with the silver foil (and cake!) removed.
Flock was added together with topiary and the shed base.
A layer of foamcard was added to create depth and coated in pva.
A base coat of brown acrylic car-paint was applied from a spray-can
